What is ISO 9001:2008?
ISO 9001:2008 was developed as an international standard to confirm that companies have established and maintained a uniform quality management system to better meet the needs of the customers. The standard covers design, development, production and service.

It provided Southwest Specialty Coatings the management tools to improve our business performance, such as defining policy and objectives, monitoring and measuring processes and product characteristics, specifying corrective and preventive actions and encouraging continuous improvement.

Our experience with ISO has shown that significant business benefits were accrued while complying with this standard, including the following.

  • Complete customer satisfaction.
  • Efficiency and productivity (minimizing defect costs and optimizing process sequences).
  • Minimization of risks in production liability.
  • Reduced inspection and testing costs.
  • Minimization of communication and production errors.
  • Consistency of service performance.
  • Continuous process and structural improvements.
  • Identification and minimization of weaknesses.

Sophisticated workflow processes make a decisive contribution to the quality of our services. With its process orientation, ISO 9001:2008 certification took our company’s specific requirements into consideration and ensures ongoing development using a continuous improvement process.
